I remember an American friend of mine had planned to go to Venice and felt so overwhelmed by these little streets she got scared and oppressed. How wrong I thought she was and how much she was missing!

I love Venice and you’re so right.. it’s the perfect place to wander and get lost it. It’s such a unique atmosphere on the small sidestreets that you’ll never find in the packed walkways.
